Commissions
Creating art from your treasured memories
I have come to learn that many artists believe that working as a commissioned artist is not ideal. However, I feel differently. Rather than feel restricted by a client's request, I know that I can preserve a person's memory in the beautiful magic of art—and this is inspiring! It is an honor to be able to create a piece that can serve as an heirloom.
To all of you who have let me share in your memories through my artwork, thank you. To you who are considering asking for a piece, thank you too. You make this all possible.
Qualities
While I am open to creating something completely unique for you, most of my commissions follow a general pattern. Your artwork will have the following qualities unless you ask me for something different.
1
Handcrafted, original artwork based on the photo(s) or description you provide me with
2
Permanently adhered to a patented museum series hardboard, which will protect your art during shipping and many decades after
3
Made with professional-grade and archival-quality materials

4
A standard size of 8 x 10 inches (horizontal or vertical)
5
Discreetly signed (usually in the bottom right corner)
6
Finished with an archival, UV-protectant, waterproof varnish that allows your artwork to be framed with or without glass—and to last for generations
How to Commission Artwork

1. Reach out to me with your idea
Choose which of your photo(s) you would like me to base your artwork on and which medium (watercolor or charcoal) you would like me to create with. If you are not sure, I can help. When you are ready, you may place your order here or on my Etsy shop, whichever you are more comfortable with.

2. I get to work
It takes me up to one week to complete a commission. During that time, I will keep you updated on the progress of your artwork. My clients enjoy seeing progress photos and time lapses of their art coming to life. I use the highest quality materials to make resilient and beautiful artwork for you; my materials include professional-grade paints and professional paper fit for archival preservation.

3. Your art arrives with free shipping
I always provide free shipping. It means so much to me that my clients are willing to trust me with their commissions, so offering free shipping is simply another small way to say "thank you" to you.
